Liz August 30, 2019 August 2019 Favorites Hi guys! Another month down and I still can’t believe how fast the summer is going! We’ve been so busy for the entire month and we’ll be even busier in September! Where is the time going?!! Sometimes I get so overwhelmed with plans and to-do lists that I need to sit down and breathe. Coming on here to talk to you guys helps so much! With the month wrapping up, I tried so many new things and re-visited old favorites and I’m going to be sharing them with you today. So, without further ado, here are some things I’ve been loving in August. Be sure to let me know what you’ve been trying and loving below!-Makeup-Marc Jacobs Omega Bronzer in ‘Tan-tastic’– I’ve actually loved this bronzer for quite some time now, but I got so caught up in trying other ones, that I decided to pick this up again and I’ve been using it non stop. First of all, look at how huge the pan size is! This is a pretty pricey bronzer, but the nice thing is that you get a ton of product for the money. Secondly, it’s such a universal shade that isn’t too warm or cool toned and can be built up easily. Milk Makeup Flex Highlighter in the shade, ‘Lit’– You guys, this highlighter…..I have no words. That’s a lie, I have sooo many words! I had this on my wishlist for the VIB sale at Sephora and when I went in the store on sale day, I swatched it in person and O….M…..G. If you love a beaming highlight, you absolutely 100% need this. It has a similar formula, in my opinion, to the OFRA highlighters. I was actually taken aback by how beautiful these are. I got the shade, Lit, which is a champagne color and is soo soo stunning! I shared this on my Instagram stories yesterday so you can see just how blinding this highlight is. Benefit BADgal Bang Volumizing Mascara– So despite the name, I would say this mascara isn’t the best for volumizing. Instead, I think it’s absolutely amazing at lengthening and separating lashes. I tend to use a couple different mascaras anyway to get the look I desire and I love using this to get a long length. Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in the shade, ‘Pillow Talk’– CT has one of my favorite lipstick formulas out there and I had been dying to try this particular shade. It’s a nude pink that lasts all day and feels so comfortable on the lips! It’s definitely a “your lips, but better” kind of color which I love.-Hair-Sebastian Shaper Plus Extra Hold Hairspray– This is such a good hairspray! It hold my curls all day and doesn’t have a crunchy or sticky feel. Briogeo Farewell Frizz Blow Dry Perfection Heat Protectant Creme– I really love using this before I curl my hair. Not only does it protect my hair from the heat, but it also helps control frizz which is always an issue for me. I love that it’s super light weight too!-Skin Care-Korres Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser– I spoke a little bit about this in my last post for the Sephora VIB Sale Recommendations and I still stand by everything. This is such a nice cream cleanser. It makes my skin feel so clean and refreshed and dare I say, a bit moisturized as well.Kiehls Ginger Leaf & Hibiscus Firming Mask– I received a sample of this and I LOVE it. If you’re looking for a face mask that will help tighten your face and reduce some puffiness, pick this one up! It’s very light, but effective. Sanitas Lemon Cream Scrub- This is hands down, the best exfoliating scrub I’ve ever tried. I’ve been using it for awhile now, but re-visited it again this month and I can’t recommend it enough. It really buffs into the skin to get rid of dead skin and makes everything feel SOO SMOOTH!
