My Current Go-To Hair Styling Products & Tools

Hey everyone!!! It’s been so long since I’ve posted, but life got crazy there for a minute and I’m back! Also, I have purple hair! Woo! I hope everyone had fabulous holidays (Christmas and New Year, because it’s been THAT long). With this new year upon us, I wanted to drastically change my hair color, but not necessarily my routine. I’ve always wanted very vibrant hair, but was always held back (mostly because of jobs that wouldn’t allow fun color). I finally went for it and I’m SO happy that I did. Through this process, I’ve discovered some great new hair gems as well as using up some of my old faves. Today I’ll be sharing a few of my current go-to styling products and tools.

Products

Amika Vault Color Block Shampoo & Conditioner– My cosmetologist friend told me about this shampoo and conditioner duo and I’m glad I decided to get them because they’ve honestly transformed my hair in the best way. Since I have color in my hair again, I was looking for a great color safe shampoo and conditioner and this one is amazing. Not only does it help the color stay fresh, but it makes my hair feel SO soft! Also, can we talk about the bomb packaging? How fun is it?!

Amika Velveteen Dream Smoothing Balm– Ok, my frizzy haired ladies need to pay attention here because this stuff is legit the best balm I’ve ever used to smooth my frizz. It’s no joke! A little bit goes a long way and it makes every hair fiber smooth and shiny and frizz free. I’m so glad I picked this product up because I’ve tried a ton of different anti-frizz products and this one is truly a gem.

Paul Mitchell Hot Off the Press Heat Protecting Hair Spray– I know I’ve spoken about this product before, but it’s still one of my favorites especially as someone who is constantly using heat on my hair. The hold this product has is amazing.

Sebastian Sharper Plus Hair Spray– This is another long time favorite hair spray. I love using this after curling my hair because it helps hold my curls for days and days.

IGK Rich Kid Coconut Oil Gel– This stuff is so great for smoothing and adding a bit of moisture to dull hair. I’ll usually mix a tiny bit of this with the Velveteen Dream and the results are perfection.

Olaplex No. 6 Bond Smoother– I have yet to find a product from Olaplex that I don’t like. This stuff transforms my hair like non other. I only use a small amount, throw it in my hair, and it smooths all of my frizz.

Batiste Dry Shampoo– I’m sure everyone and their mother has heard of or used this dry shampoo, but no matter how many times I try other ones, I always come back to this brand. My favorite is the one made for brunettes since my hair is on the darker side. It’s the most affordable one I’ve tried and has always given me the best results.

Tools

T3 Curling Iron– So because I curl my hair so much, I wanted to invest in a better quality curling iron with a thicker barrel since my hair is thick and long. This one has been life changing. It’s up there in price, but it curls my hair so fast and the curls last FOREVER. I’ve never experienced it with other curling irons. I definitely think this is worth the money.

Remington Straightener– Despite investing in my curling iron, I’ve always found the opposite approach with my straighteners. The most affordable ones I’ve purchased have always been the best quality to me. This is my current straightener and I absolutely love it. I have a larger one because of the amount of hair I have.
