February Beauty Haul

Hey everyone! I’m back with more goodies for the month that I’ve been trying out! Everything I’m mentioning was either purchased by me, given to me as a gift or sent to me as a sample. I really enjoy doing these posts because of the fact that 1. I LOVE makeup and trying new things (obviously) and 2. the beauty industry is constantly releasing new things every day so it’s nice to be able to see what works for me and give possible recommendations to you guys as well. I have also linked a few of my other beauty hauls below, so feel free to check those out as well!

Makeup + Skincare Haul

James Charles x Morphe Palette– I was a little late to the beauty train to pick this one up because since it’s release, it’s been sold out everywhere. So after Ulta did a restock, I was finally able to pick it up! I’ll start by saying that I truly do love Morphe products most of the time. I think they are a great affordable brand with exceptional brushes. I have a few eyeshadow palettes from them already (my favorite being the Jaclyn Hill palette) so I was excited to see how the James Charles palette would be. First of all, the COLORS are absolutely stunning and vibrant. I’m sort of a neutral, warm toned eyeshadow lover at heart, but I love experimenting with colors and these definitely don’t fail. The pigment is incredible and they blend like a dream. It’s really nice to see such a variety with a rainbow color scheme because it brings you out of your comfort zone and actually makes you want to experiment with different looks which I totally love. [side note: I am linking the palette to Ulta because the last time I checked the Morphe website it was out of stock]

Dose of Colors Desi X Katy Friendcation Palette– I love Desi and Katy so much and I had been eyeing this eyeshadow palette for quite awhile. I had never previously tried any Dose of Colors eyeshadows other than their first collab with them with the quads which I loved. A friend of mine got me this palette as a birthday gift and I LOVE it. The colors are neutral with a few shimmery pops of color. I love that this palette is so versatile. You can easily take it anywhere for travel because it has everything you need. Blending and pigment is amazing as well. I think they totally killed it with this!

Morphe Liquid Lipstick in the shade School Girl– This is the second liquid lipstick I have tried from Morphe and I have to say that I actually really like their formula. Liquid lipsticks can be tough for me sometimes because my lips can be so dry, but this formula isn’t super drying. The color is a rosy pink and is very pretty.

Touch in Sol Metallist Sparkling Foiled Eye Shadow– I saw Tati on Youtube review these and OMG are they beautiful. I love a good sparkling eyeshadow single and I’d even say that they are similar to the Hourglass ones which are more expensive. I picked up the shade Cream Peach which is a gorgeous nude color. I’ll definitely be picking up more of these!

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder– I’m a setting powder junkie. I’m not sure why, but every time a new powder comes out, I feel the need to try it to see if it’s life changing. I haven’t tried many Fenty products, but I picked this up after hearing some great reviews on it. Overall, I think it’s beautiful. It gives a nice “filtered” look to the skin, smells great and doesn’t look too dry or cakey. I think it’s interesting that she created this powder in many different shades and some of them do different things. For example, the lavender powder is good for brightening.

Lollipop Liners Liquid Eyeliner by Beauty Bakerie– Soo I have mixed feelings on this product. The pros: It’s very black, long lasting and has very fine tip which makes it easy to do winged eyeliner. The cons: I’m not sure about the formula. It’s a very wet eyeliner which isn’t always my favorite because it tends to leak a bit. I had the same issue with the Stila eyeliner as well. This product would be perfect if it dried a little faster.

Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner– These are hands down my favorite gel eyeliner crayons! I would get every color if I could because the formula is that beautiful. I have the matte black and the cobalt blue colors so I picked up this purple color (Grape Vine) and I was definitely not disappointed. The color is beautiful, lasts an eternity and doesn’t get smudgey. I highly recommend these eyeliners especially if you have watery eyes and worry about eyeliner smudging. I can’t say enough good things about them.

Wander Beauty Baggage Claim Gold Eye Masks– I received these as samples and tried them out. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed using them. I put them on and let them sit for about 30 minutes and when I took them off my eye area was alot more smooth and less puffy. They definitely add a little something extra and hydrating to your skincare routine.

Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighter– I actually spoke about this in my Affordable Makeup for Beginners post, but I wanted to give a quick update. I’m loving this product even more recently because initially i thought it was a more subtle glow, but after taking the top layer spray over off, the highlighter is a lot more beaming. I think its very pretty and super inexpensive.

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask– I also received this as a sample to try out and OMG this brand! I’m obsessed! I have yet to try anything bad from Laneige and this mask is no different. Their skin care is amazing. I’ll definitely be picking up a full size of this because it’s sooo hydrating! I hate the feeling of night sleeping masks that are sticky or too thick and this one is perfect. It goes on so thin and watery and dries instantly while hydrating over night. I’ve had really good luck with the products from this brand and it’s making we want to try everything.
