Current Skincare Essentials

Today I wanted to talk about my current skincare essentials. I honestly try soo many different products all the time, but something I’ve truly become passionate about is skin care. It wasn’t until my mid 20’s that I truly started to feel that passion and actually research products. I didn’t really think of taking care of my skin or find the importance in it until I saw what a difference products can make. Another thing I’ve found is that yes, there are really amazing skin care products at the drug store (I could do an entire other post about those), but I think it’s important to spend a little more on products to invest in because I think they will do even more for you in the long run. Having tested out so many products has given me the chance to find what works for me and what doesn’t. Not everything will work the same for everyone as we all have different skin types, but the products I’m talking about have been game changers for me personally.

Laneige Multi Cleanser– This was an unexpected find for me. I sort of stumbled upon it at Sephora and tried it out on a whim, not knowing much about the brand. I’m extremely happy that I did because it’s quickly become one of my favorite face cleansers of all time! It truly transformed my skin. Any blemishes or spots or dry patches ALL GONE. I don’t know what makes this stuff so magical, but I can’t get enough of it.

Milani Lip Scrub– This is such a great, inexpensive little lip scrub and it smells and tastes AMAZING. I’ll usually just throw this on before bed to exfoliate my lips and they always feel so smooth afterwards.

Sanitas Lemon Cream Scrub– This is hands down my favorite exfoliating product! It’s gritty enough to really scrub your skin, but also gentle and it smells sooo good! You can buy this on the Pharmaca website where they have other Sanitas products, but I normally purchase mine from Amazon.

Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum– I LOVE Drunk Elephant products. I think they are truly the most effective skin care products on the market IF you can stomach the hefty price tag that comes with it. What I like about this is once you clean your face, you can apply this on afterwards and it’s like a burst of moisture which is super refreshing. I’ll usually leave it on (it dries quickly and isn’t sticky) all night so it soaks in my skin and when I wake up, my skin looks refreshed and a little plumper.

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial– I know I’ve talked about this beauty in other posts, but I have to mention it again. You guys, I cried swiping my credit card to purchase this product. It’s so unbelievably expensive, but I had to try it after all the hype. Price be damned, this is such a great skin care product. Out of all of these that I’m mentioning, this has been the most effective product I’ve ever used. I was alarmed the first time I used it because it’s actually so powerful that it starts to sting after application and you have to leave it on for about 15-20 mins. I figured if I put something one my face and it started to burn, it was a bad sign. I discovered that it’s actually quite normal after reading the reviews and after a few minutes, the burn turned to tingles. After washing it off, my skin was so incredibly smooth and perfect that I couldn’t believe it. If you want to splurge, get this for sure!

Purity Made Simple by Philosophy– This one is for all my sensitive skin people out there. If you’re looking for a very light, easy and effective cleanser, I recommend trying this one. It’s really great at getting all the dirt and gunk off while giving a squeaky clean feel. Not to mention, it also leaves the skin super soft afterwards.

Laniege Lip Sleeping Mask– I have the worst dry lips in the winter. Ugh I hate that feeling so much! When I first tried this lip mask I didn’t think anything of it because it applies like a lip balm. After trying it for about three nights, I became hooked! This is such a great product! It keeps lips moisturized while healing and leaves them looking more plump in the morning!

Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask by Origins– Overall, Origins is a great skincare brand. They have some of the best masks ever! This was another product that I bought on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by the results. You just apply it and leave it on overnight and wake up with really hydrated skin. What’s not to love?

Vanity Planet Ultimate Skin Spa Cleansing System– I saved the best for last! I’ve always wanted to purchase a Clarisonic, but never actually made the leap to purchase it. I heard Emily Gemma talking about this cleansing brush on her Insta-stories and when I found out it was on a major sale I picked it up. It has the main cleansing brush with two additional brush heads (one is for moisturizing and the other is exfoliating) and it also comes with a nice little travel case for the set. When I purchased it, it was about $40 which is an absolute steal since it’s almost an exact dupe for the Clarisonic. I went on their website again and it’s back to the original price at $129.99, HOWEVER I found a coupon for everyone!!! Put in the code NATURALNEIICEY and it takes 70% off making the brush set only $39!!! You absolutely won’t regret it. These brushes are amazing and my skin has honestly never felt so clean the second I’m done using them.

Such an awesome post, I adore skincare and usually use body shop because I can’t afford any expensive skin care but I would love to. Thanks for the recommendations, I would love to try the Drunk Elephant skincare line especially since they’ve come to the UK now on cult beauty. I’ve found this post so informative and great to read!
