Oh Sephora, once again you have taken another paycheck. A couple weeks ago, Sephora had a very rare sale in appreciation for Beauty Insiders, VIB’s and VIB Rouges. Depending on your level, you received either 10%, 15% or 20% off everything in the store or online. I always go a little crazy when they have a sale because they usually only have a few every year. It’s the perfect time to restock on things you love or try something new. Additionally, before the Sephora sale happened, I picked up the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Vault collection which includes all four palettes. I waited a couple weeks to post this because I wanted to try everything out and give you guys a mini review. Let me know what you picked up at the sale in the comments below!!!
The Vault Collection- Morphe x Jaclyn Hill– If anyone loves makeup, I’m sure you have at least heard of Jaclyn Hill. She is a beauty Youtuber and makeup artist. She had another collaboration with the brand Morphe which included four eyeshadow palettes with shades that were not included in her original palette with Morphe. I tried all four of these palettes and I think they are incredible. Each of them has a different color story which allows you to create hundreds of different looks. You can purchase all four palettes together or individually at Morphe.com or Ulta.
Hourglass-Veil Translucent Setting Powder– I’ve tried sooo many face powders. Traslucent, mattifying, glowing…anything you can think of. Despite the hefty price tag, I usually love Hourglass products and heard really great things about this powder. Upon application it gives off a smooth finish which I really love. It doesn’t look cakey or heavy on the skin which is really nice for us dry skin people.
Hourglass-Scattered Light Glitter Eye Shadow– As a true eye shadow palette lover, I rarely ever buy single shadows unless they blow me away. When shopping at Sephora, I made my way over to the Hourglass section and saw that they came out with single glitter shadows. At first I was a little weary, because I love glitter, but sometimes the amount of fallout from eye to cheek can be downright tragic. They had five colors total, two of which were in stock so I swatched away and OMG are these beautiful. It’s like a light dusting of glitter on the eyes that makes them pop. I got mine in the shade Blaze which is a copper color.
Hourglass-Caution Extreme Lash Mascara– I’m super picky when it comes to mascaras. I truly haven’t found a mascara (high end or drug store) that will lengthen, seperate and volumize my lashes…….until now. I’m so excited just thinking about this product because it has instantly become my ride or die mascara. Everything about it is perfect. The packaging is heavy and luxurious, the bristles are perfect and pick up the right amount of product and the shape is ideal. It does everything I need it to. So if you are looking for the perfect mascara and can stomach a higher price tag, look no further.
Becca-Gradient Sunlit Bronzer– I had been wanting to try this bronzer for awhile now and just as I started shopping, it went on sale for $18 so I knew it was the perfect time to buy it. It has different bronzing shades with highlighting powder surrounding it. It gives off a nice glowy tan look. There are two shades-one for pale skin and one for deeper skin tones. I enjoy using this for my pale skin because it isn’t orange or heavy.
YSL-Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stain– I raved about these before in another post, but I picked up another shade since I was getting 20% off and I still love these just as much as before. I got the shade, Violet Conviction, which is a deep blackberry color for Fall. Definitely ready to rock some vampy lips.
Drunk Elephant-B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum-DE is one of those brands that will make a person go broke because my soul dies a little when I purchase something. That high price tag is hard to swallow, but every single thing I’ve used has been AMAZING. Completely life changing for skin. My skin is so incredibly dry that I’ll try anything to hydrate it. I heard great things about this particular product so I gave it a go. Even just applying it, I can feel how moisturizing it is. It’s a drink of water for your skin and even smooths it out. I’m curious to see how it will work in the winter when my skin gets even more dry.
Origins-Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask-This is the perfect overnight mask if you have dry skin. It goes on and dries not too sticky and when you wash it off in the morning your skin is very smooth. I have to try it out more, but so far so good.
Laneige-Multi Cleanser-This was the first time I tried anything from this brand and I’m actually really impressed. This is a basic face wash, but it’s super effective. It gives the skin a squeaky clean feeling and took off all my makeup.
Sol De Janeiro-Brazillian Bum Bum Cream– Another product that I raved about in a previous post, but I took advantage of the sale to get the full size product. Literally the best thing I have ever smelled. It’s a great moisturizer with a heavenly scent.
