Finding the time to read these days can be challenging, but for me, the way that has always worked is to go to bed a little early and wind down with a book. Although sometimes that plan backfires and I end up staying up half the night completely engrossed by a good murder mystery. So I thought I’d share some of the books I’ve read the past month or so. Keep in mind that I have an expansive taste in books (fiction, horror, mystery, YA, etc).
The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn– Oooh this one kept me up all night! It’s a great page turner! If you love murder mysteries, then check this one out! It’s got Rear Window vibes for sure.
The Merciless by Danielle Vega– This was an interesting find. I saw it sitting on the shelf at Barnes and Noble and became intrigued when I read what it was about. Horror and exorcisms in the YA realm. Sometimes it gets so intense that it doesn’t feel like a YA book. This is the first in the series and I’m positive that I’ll be reading the other books in the series as well.
Sleep Like a Baby by Charlaine Harris– I wanted to put this one on the list even though it’s the tenth book in the series. If you haven’t read the Aurora Teagarden series, I highly recommend! She’s a small town librarian who tries to solve murders. Charlaine Harris also wrote the Sookie Stackhouse aka the True Blood books.
Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han– Again, I wanted to add this one as well even though it’s the third book in the series. I absolutely love these books and every character in them. They’re very cutesy, but still fun to read. Plus the first book in the series, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, was recently made into a movie currently on Netflix.
